Meters are generally used when a ride doesn't terminate at O'Hare, Midway or Chicago Downtown. Our meter rate is $2.40/mile. We have a low minimum of $10 per ride and we do not charge until we pick you up. Meters generally only charge by the mile, unless the taxi is stopped while the passenger is in the car. In that case the meter charges by time at the rate of $0.60/minute.
